LAN Parties are a type of event wherein several people get together and play against each other in multiplayer computer games.
Although most come to play games, some come to hang out, share files, watch movies, eat pizza, and drink soda as well.
Also, (and probably most importantly) ACM LAN PARTIES ARE FREE! There is no cost for admission.
We hold biweekly LAN Parties in ATHS E206, E207, E215, E216, E235, and E236.
Get notified by mail about future LAN Parties by subscribing to the LAN Party announcement mailing list.
We also have a LAN Party Schedule, with specific dates.
This semester, we’ve been playing:
If you’ve got a console that you’d like to play, bring it along! We’ve got plenty of projectors for you to play on!
Serious gaming requires serious foodz.
We sell a variety of snacks during the LAN parties, including pizza (from Vinnie’s), soda, and Bawls. Occasionally we have chips or brownies or something similar for sale as well.
All games that are hosted on our server, acm.pct.edu, will be recording stats, check back here any time, during or after a LAN Party to see where you stand.
Let us know what you think! Any issues can be directed to any of the ACM staff at the LAN parties.
Alternatively, you can add an idea to the LAN Party Idea List.
