Tournament Ideas

Guitar Hero

  • Pro Face-Off Mode: players both play the same track of music.
  • Scoring will be based on score totals shown at the end of each song.
  • Players decide on a song, or one will be randomly chosen.
  • Best 2 of 3 to win.
  • Bracket tourney system, pairs.

(While it would be simpler and quicker to have everyone play the same song and compare score totals once to determine winner, hearing the same song over and over is horrendously boring.)

Wii Bowling

  • Players play the standard 10-frame WiiSports bowling game.
  • Scoring by number of points at the end of the 10th frame.
  • Bracket tourney system, groups of four (the max WiiSports supports), best of each four advances.

Wii Power Bowling

  • Players each play one round of Wii Power Bowling.
  • Score is equal to total number of pins downed.
  • Highest score wins.

Soul Calibur III

  • Players play best 2 of 3 games.
    • Each game consists of a race to two wins.
  • Best two out of three games advances.
  • Bracket tourney system, pairs.

CounterStrike: Source

  • Players register as a four-person team.
  • Pairs of teams play a two-map rotation.
    • One bombing map, one hostage map
    • Each team gets an equal amount of time as Counter Terrorists and Terrorists per map
  • Bracket tourney system, pairs of teams, highest total team score advances.

Unreal Tournament 2004

Mass Deathmatch
  • Winner determined by highest number of frags.
  • Need a large map for this.

  • No weapons or class limits
