Maptypes

Assault

  • A team based game. One team attacks while the other defends, after the end of the round you switch sides. The goal is to be the team to complete the most objectives while attacking.

Bombing Run

  • Each level has one ball in the middle of the play field. The objective is to pick up the ball, deliver it to the enemy base and fire it through their goal. You must also defend your own goal to prevent the enemy from scoring. The ball is dropped when a player is killed and can then be picked up by anyone on either team.

Capture the Flag

  • Two teams, two flags. Capture the opponent’s flag and bring it back to your flag to score. If the flag carrier is killed, the flag drops to the ground for anyone to pick up. If your team’s flag is taken, it must be returned before you can score.

DeathMatch

  • An all out killing spree, kill everyone in your sites, as they are all fair game.
  • Most kills within the time limit or first to a specific number of kills is the winner.

Double Domination

  • Each level has 2 Domination Points. In order to score, you must ‘capture’ each Control Point (by running over it) and keep them in your team’s possession for 10 seconds. After scoring, the Control Points reset to neutral and will become available to Dominate again after another 10 seconds.

Instagib CTF

  • Same as CTF, but Instagib (one shot kills).

Invasion

  • In this game type, players band together to defend against waves of incoming monsters – including many of the monsters from the original Unreal. Players cannot respawn if they die during a wave, but as long as one player makes it to the end of a wave alive, everyone respawns for the next wave.

Last Man Standing

  • Players start with a set number of lives, last one alive wins. Players regenerate health when they frag an opponent. If a player stands in one place for too long, they will be revealed to other players as a camper and their location will appear on all opponent’s displays.

Mutant

  • The player who makes the first frag becomes the mutant and is immediately equipped with all weapons, extra ammo, invisibility, agility and berserk. However, the mutant’s health slowly decreases and can only be replenished by fragging other players. Once there is a “mutant,” all other players are charged with hunting him down. Points are scored only by the mutant when they frag other players. As an optional twist, the player with the lowest score becomes the BottomFeeder – he can frag other players who are not the mutant and receive points. As soon as his score isn’t the lowest, a new player becomes the BottomFeeder.

Onslaught

  • A connect-the-nodes gametype, vehicles are normally available for fast transportation between nodes. Opposing teams are pitted against each other to capture and hold strategic points in order to attack and destroy the enemy power core.

Team DeathMatch

  • Same as DeathMatch, but players are on two teams, team verses team.

Vehicle CTF

  • Same as Capture the Flag, but with vehicles.

Controls

Movement

  • Forward: W
  • Back: S
  • Left: A
  • Right: D
  • Use/Get in Vehicle: E

Weapons

  • To switch weapons use the scroll wheel or the 1-9 number keys
    • Note: because of the large number of custom weapons in use on the server the number keys need to be used to access all weapons (the scroll wheel won’t cycle through all the weapons in your inventory).
  • All weapons have two modes of fire. The left mouse button is the primary fire and the right mouse button is the secondary fire.

The following mutators are enabled on this server:

  • UnrealGame.MutLowGrav - Low gravity
  • XGame.MutQuadJump - Jump really high
  • XGame.MutRegen - Your health and/or your vehicle’s health automatically recharges when you are not taking damage
  • OnslaughtBP.MutBonusVehicles - Extra vehicles from the bonus pack are enabled
  • Onslaught.MutWheeledVehicleStunts - Vehicles can do tricks
  • Onslaught.ONSAVRiL - AVRiL is enabled in all levels
  • Onslaught.ONSGrenadeLauncher - GrenadeLauncher is enabled in all levels
  • XWeapons.Redeemer - Redeemers are allowed
  • XWeapons.Translauncher - Translocators are in your default inventory in all game types
  • SentinelsRCBeta3.mutSentinels - Adds “Sentinels” to your inventory - use to build Sentinels
  • SpiderSteroids.MutSpiderSteroidReplacer - Spider mines grow with link gun secondary fire
  • NoVehicleLocks.MutNoVehicleLocks - Enemy vehicles are not locked so you can steal them
  • utcompv15a.MutUTComp - Enables hitsounds - makes it easier to tell if you are hitting someone while shooting
  • Onslaught.MutLightweightVehicles - Vehicles are lighter and fly farther when hit with weapons fire
  • Radar2005a.RadaraDB - Enables radar - allows you to see where players are
  • SkillBalancerV1Beta4.mutBalance - Balances the teams in team based games at the end of every round based on your score at the end of the pervious round - its goal is to create fair and balanced teams to make the game more fun
  • ONSEnergyLevelBETA2.ONSEnergyLevel - Makes the powernodes/powercores in Onslaught have less health so Onslaught doesn’t go on forever - also makes Onslaught more interesting and fast paced
  • vCTFFlagControl.MutvCTFFlagControl - Allows you to carry the flag in mantas and raptors
  • AdminPlus_v14.MutAdminPlus - Enables admin login
  • SwitchArsenal.SwitchArsenal - The utimate weapon switcher - You get the ZarkAssaultRifle, OMFG gun, and LaserBomb in your starting inventory. It also switches the following weapons with their excessive versions: AssaultRifle, BioRifle, ShockRifle, LinkGun, Minigun, FlakCannon, RocketLauncher, SniperRifle, Redeemer, Target/Ion Painter, AVRiL. You can dual wield the following excessive weapons: ShockRifle, Minigun, FlakCannon, RocketLauncher. The excessive weapons have increased firepower and rate of fire.
  • WoRM2k4.MutWoRM_v - Replaces most vehicles with their excessive versions (more armor).
  • vCTF-TL.MutvCTFTL - Allows the Translocator in VCTF.

Configuration changes

The following configuration changes have been made since the 9-29-06 LAN party:

  • Disabled vehicle pickups - to prevent never ending flag return glitch
  • Modified weapons configuration:
    • Starting equipment: removed PredatorSpawnRifle and NoSkilz Translocator Gun
    • Pickup replacement: added Excessive AssultRifle, added Excessive Bio-Rifle, removed Excessive Flame Thrower, and added Excessive Flak Cannon
  • Added new vehicles - now most vehicles are replaced with their excessive versions (more armor)
  • Re-added translocator - needed now due to removal of NoSkilz Translocator Gun
